Salted Caramel Ice Cream

I just read about Salted Caramel Ice Cream, and now I want some. How is it that I live in New York City and I can't get Salted Caramel Ice Cream? It feels like some kind of crime. This is what the financial crisis has done to this town. I swear, it's all Wall Street's fault.

If it's any consolation, the shop owners hire some real pills to scoop up that lovely salted caramel ice cream. So even though I live 20 minutes away, I rarely go.

You should be able to get caramels au beurre salé in New York City. They are made with salted butter from Normandy and are divine!

My husband orders these for me a couple of times a year. The shipping cost is outrageous, but we savor each one.

OK. My husband just had a birthday and I got him nothing but a half baked cake (literally) -- i think those caramels are in order. And why is it that at places where they serve delicious but "cool" stuff, the staff is always awful? I can think of one or two exceptions, but, really, they just prove the rule.

Thanks for the URL!
