It's Just Not Over

OK. I read this article about tightening in the polls, and I'm officially terrified. I love living in New York City, but I really, really, really wish we could vote in Philadelphia (where we used to live).

  1. You can always relieve your anxiety by calling PA voters - just log on at www.barackobama.com

  5. I thought about voting in Philly, and TR, you're always on your toes with the message discipline!

  6. And Carolyn, I seriously thought about going to vote -- we have the deed to our house -- who cares that I'm registered here! Who'd know? OY!

  7. Have faith! My folks are lifetime Republicans (you should hear my dad and I go at it after a few glasses of wine), and they voted Obama! Of course, we live in CA so it won't change the Electoral College, but if my 60-something GOP parents decided to vote Democrat for the first time in their lives, there are others like them out there. So have faith!

(Full disclosure...I just gave another $100 to the Obama campaign...Just. In. Case.)

  8. It's true - we need to have faith, and stories like yours about your parents are so heartening! Like it could really happen! Honestly, after the Palin pick, my mom, who was a staunch Hillary supporter (and an Obama poo-pooer lifelong independent) sent me an email that said, "I will knock on doors, I will stuff envelopes, I will do whatever it takes to elect BARAK OBAMA!" (caps hers, exclamation point mine). Maybe this really is the time!
